At this point in time, Val Staples has been kicking it around comics for almost two decades. A studio coordinator, designer, writer and artist, Val’s best known in comics as an Eisner nominated colorist who still finds time to ruin the lineart of artists from across the world! Val met Mike for the first time in person back in 1998 and then continued to pester him on a semi-regular basis. He then came on to color Tellos in 2004, much to everyone’s chagrin. Todd and Mike constantly plotted to find a way to get Val out of their lives, but it was too late! In all seriousness, Val’s been hiding in the shadows, helping out here or there when possible and he’s honored to contribute to this project which helps celebrate one of the industry’s most cherished artists, while continuing the amazing saga that Mike and Todd created. Val is lending his hues to this tribute, and is also coordinating the delivery of colors from all his fellow colorists.
